Into the
Sinai.
Dahab, Egypt · April 2025
Dahab is known the world over for what lies beneath its surface — the Red Sea's dive sites draw thousands of travellers each year. But when the sun dropped behind the Sinai mountains, the town had little to offer. A pair of local landowners saw that gap clearly, and came to us with a brief as straightforward as it was ambitious: build something the coastline had never seen.
The site they had in mind was a natural amphitheatre carved into the rock of the Sinai mountain range — remote, visually extraordinary, and entirely without infrastructure. We brought in a four-DJ lineup, a full architectural lighting rig, and an 8KW sound system. Every cable run, every truss point, every power source was built from scratch across terrain that had no business hosting an event of this scale. That was precisely the point.
Two hundred and fifty people gathered in the mountains for the first night. The response was immediate. What had been conceived as a one-off was commissioned again — and again — running to five consecutive events across the season: raves carved into the mountain, sold-out boat parties on the Red Sea, and pool events that drew an international crowd. The Sinai series became proof that the right sound, in the right place, needs no venue to legitimise it.
The Brief
Transform an undeveloped mountain site in the Sinai into a functioning open-air venue — and deliver an electronic music event capable of drawing both local residents and international travellers to Dahab after dark.
The Challenge
A remote rocky terrain with no existing power, staging, or acoustic infrastructure. Full technical production — sound, lighting, DJ setup — transported and installed at altitude across unmade ground, built and stripped within a single operational window.
Production
8KW professional sound system. Full architectural lighting design. Four-DJ rotating lineup across a single open-air stage. Five consecutive events produced across the season.
